Personal Life

  • Happily married to Jenni (Jacobson) Thein since 1992

  • Proud father of 3 children - Katie, Abby, and Peyton

  • 10th year as High School Varsity Assistant and 9th-grade Head Football Coach for the Pine Island Panthers

  • Former high-school wrestling official

  • Avid proponent of civil political discourse

  • Independent critical thinker

  • Advocate for efficiency and effectiveness in local government

  • Enjoys fishing in Lake Zumbro, recreational bike riding, photography, and grilling

Experience

  • Fourth year as Olmsted County Commissioner for District 7

  • Six terms as Supervisor/Chairman of the Oronoco Township Board

  • Fourth Generation Water Well Driller and President of Thein Well Rochester, Inc.

    • ​One of the Midwest's oldest (since 1893) and Southeast Minnesota's largest water well contractors
